I have always loved photography, a passion that I’ve held since I was small but never had the time nor camera to carry out my dream…
One of my loves of photography is that no two photos are the same, whether water, land or air even fire is forever changing, light is forever altering the landscape, that shadows are constantly on the move, the same image can never be captured twice…my favourite effect is shots with a water surface reflection
To have my own business is something I have wanted for years and it would not be till I met a dear friend and brother that I would get my opportunity…
Someone once asked, Michael, why do you want to be a photographer in self-employment? This is simple to answer and yet not so, I have one reason which is and one that is not,
The simple reason is that I love photography, it is passion that I have had all my life, admittedly I don’t get out as much as I would want as other hobbies and tasks encroach on my time.
The other reason is that no-one cared and please let me explain that, before starting my venture into photography I was in the security industry, I have worked at nightclubs, construction sites, councils, stores, I have worked for bosses that just see profit, I have worked with guards that didn’t want to back you up, I have seen the look in faces I worked alongside that had just given up.
I had passion for my work, I was excited, every day I was pumped up to take on the roles and responsibilities of duties within but I worked with some people that did not have that passion, that drive, that excitement.
I swear when you’re on high note working with people determined to be miserable it just drags it out of you, it saps the energy, the drive and in the end I lost my passion for the security industry.
So I have turned my focus to a passion to where the only the person to get passionate or miserable is me.
